Subject: The Battle of Excavation Site Theta-9

    I inquisitor Kane here by record the following in my efforts to protect and ensure the survival of the Empire in his Name.

    After making our escape from the vile Drukhari, We made our escape to the entrance of the mines. Apon exiting we where astonished to find an entire imperial response to the Drukhari incursion already in place. I shall endeavor to discover how this was possible.
    In the mean time not to overlook the Emperors blessing of reinforcements my compatriots and I made our way to the Imperial lines. There we both gave our debriefing and also where debriefed on a mission of utmost importance to end this threat before it truly began, to re-enter the mine and destroy the web gate that was the Drukari's point of entry onto our world.
   To accomplish this Sister Venria armed herself with a Melta Bomb, and the Commisar in charge of the front lines ordered the imperial guard to lay down covering fire as 2 units of Sistes of battle Escorted us to the entrance. The cross of the Bridge was perilous, Drukari splinter rifles kicking up dirt all around us, 2 of their Raider hover tanks exchanging fire with our own Leman Russ's, The world around us erupting in explosions as the Sisters of Battle's own Exorcist tanks laid down volley after volley of Drukari killing missle barrages. In this brave crossing many a sister fell to the vile toxins of the Drikari, but by the emperors grace we made it through with only Venria suffering from wounds, which she promptly patches with her med kit.
   Once inside we made our way in deeper to the mines, having now found the Drukhari well entrenched in the depths around the web way gate and setting up energy shields to fortify their point of entry. This we would have nothing of as to a man we simply crossed no mans land, laying down withering bolther fire as we advanced from bolder to bolder closing the distance to the first half completed energy shield. By the time we got to it the Drukhari host guarding it had been whittled down to a shell of its former strength, when suddenly either out of desperation or some vile sadistic need for violence what remained of them charged us and we dispatched them presently in hand to hand.
  This opened out way to the game, our objective within reach when suddenly from it stepped the Enemies commander, an Arkon is all his splendid twisted glory. His armor alight with malevolent as skulls of past victims smiled back at us from his puldrons earily. His sword almost dripping with Drukari poison as he invited us to try to stop his plans. The poor deluded fool could not get past his Drukari thinking, feeling all beings longed for pain and suffering, and would jump to its embrace when given the chance, Venria proved him wrong. As instead of charging as he expected, she lofted the Meltabomb to the feet of the Web gate, and with an ear splitting roar it detonated, ruining the structure and taking the Arkons body guards with it. it was at this point through the confusion and dust that i engaged the Arkon, before he could get his wits about him, splitting his head with my hammer, and wetting the ground with his brains and blood.
  Our mission accomplished we did a fighting retreat, backout out of the mine as we held of the remaining Drukhari as they where now trapped here with no web gate. At this point we met 2 squads of Sisters entering the mine, the outside battle under control. We advised them of the enemies positions and left the clean up to them, the Emperors warriors.
