I inquisitor Kane here by record the following in my efforts to protect and ensure the survival of the Empire in his Name.
In response to an article in the local newspaper "The Sentinel" entitled "Rift Sealed After Daemon Invasion on Farm". I visited the offices of Chief Editor Elena Marcellus. My visit was to understand where she got her information for this article as only person with inside knowledge of it could have provided it. In addition to this I wanted to impress upon Ms. Marcellus how it would in her and the papers best interests to not print items relating to daemons and heresies in their publication, and to in fact print a retraction to the original story. To help them accomplish this i provided them with a plausible cover story of a Harlequin attack on the farm.
During our meeting Ms. Marcellus proved quite cooperative and allowed me to view the anonymous tip that came in to bring this story to light, with the help of Skitarii Rat, we where able to break the encryption to discover the information came from one of her own staff, Brutus Callahan, the Managing Editor. Rat was able to advise this form of encryption was typical of the Eclipsed Brotherhood. Ms. Marcellus was legitimately both surprised and concerned by this fact, and was more then helpful in pointing us to his offices for an interview with him.
The interview itself turned out to be unnecessary for as soon as we entered, a palpable air of thick with corruption washed over us as Brutus sat behind his desk writing in a blasphemous tome for the Lord of Blood, the sigils and runes he penned in his own blood. Apon seeing us enter he knew his time of free reign was over, declaring the time for secrecy over and that the Eclipsed Brotherhood would rule over all of Archimedies IV in the name of the Skull king. At this point he summoned 2 of the vile fiends known as bloodletters and set them apon us, Rat and myself gladly engaged the beasts. with both Mental prowess, and the emperors holy weapons, we dispatched or enemies, with Rat dispatching Brutus himself with a well aimed shot to the head.
At this time I took the heretical tome for immediate confiscation and destruction as well as summoning both Arbities and Battle sisters to lock down and guard the office for further investigation. This i fear will be just the opening salvos in a long and arduous investigation and shadow war with the Eclipsed Brotherhood to root them out and destroy the corruption they seek to spread.
