The Rise of Borlan I

In the twilight of the Second Age, the region that would become Lethrain was a wild and untamed land. Borlan, born among the nomadic tribes, was known for his cunning and charisma. He united the warring clans into a single people, forming the kingdom of Lethrain.

Founding of Itharil: Borlan’s greatest achievement was the founding of Itharil, a fortified city built on the cliffs overlooking the river Lithon. Under his leadership, Lethrain grew prosperous through trade and alliances, while remaining neutral in larger conflicts.

The Lethrain Rangers: Borlan established an elite group of warriors, the Lethrain Rangers, to protect the kingdom’s borders. These rangers symbolized Lethrain’s vigilance and independence, defending against orcs and darker forces from the Misty Mountains.

Dark Temptation: Though Borlan rejected offers of power from Sauron’s emissaries, his descendants were not so wise. One accepted a Ring of Power, which ultimately led to the kingdom’s downfall.

Borlan’s rule brought prosperity and strength to Lethrain, but his death marked the beginning of its decline. His legacy, however, remained strong in the hearts of the people, and his name was spoken with reverence long after the kingdom fell into ruin.
