Overview
The Adeptus Mechanicus controls the sacred technology, industrial machinery, and major manufacturing systems of Fortis Prime. Its tech-priests maintain the planet's manufactorums, protect restricted knowledge, and ensure that production follows the doctrines of the Omnissiah.
The faction is essential to both Fortis Prime's agricultural economy and its military supply network. Its authority sometimes brings it into conflict with workers, planetary officials, and the Inquisition.
Leadership on Fortis Prime
Octavius Kael is the senior planetary representative of the Adeptus Mechanicus. He supervises technology and manufacturing across Fortis Prime and sets policy for Mechanicus facilities and personnel.
Ferrus Tiber is the local overseer of Manufactorum 12, operating under Kael's planetary authority. He is uncompromising in matters of doctrine, production efficiency, and technological purity.

Their authority can overlap when an investigation concerns xenos devices, artificial intelligence, or heretek activity. Ferrus Tiber now provides technical assistance to Naltherion Kane after Kane's group exposed corruption inside Manufactorum 12.
The Mechanicus maintains military equipment and supplies wartime components used by the Imperial Guard and other defenders of Fortis Prime.
