VARGEN WOOD

Vargen Wood a dark primordial forest on the coast of Thaneland, is approximately 100 Square miles in size (about 10 miles across and 10 more miles deep). Centuries old trees with dark bark and clumpy combs of wet moss dangling from there sprawling limbs, blot out the sunlight, throwing it into eternal gloom. This ambiance of a dark foreboding forest is only enhanced by the unusually high number of ravens that call this forest home, perched within the bows if the ancient trees, their caws echoing through the misty gloom. Periodically the trees do part, opening into lush mist covered glades, bathed in sunlight. Vargen wood, is a place avoided by most superstitious peoples in the area as a bewitched woods. This is do to the dark atmosphere of the forest and the crying howls of worgs, as Vargen Wood is home to a large pack, 40 of them calling this forest home, with Grenmir their alpha male. It is Bjorn Wulfkin's ability to live in harmony with, and even travel and hunt with these worg that has lead to the people familiar with the area to dub him "The Wolf King".
The forests' magic was created and put in place by Bjorn over many years of communing and a great number of Rituals finally culminating in the Sanctum invocation, binding himself to the forest and the lands Earth Spirit, an extremely old and powerful Elder Earth Elemental named Gromph. It has Intellectus limited to the forests boundaries. Gromph manifests as a figure about eleven or twelve feet tall, comprised of solid stone, shimmering crystal and plain dirt, with two vividly green eyes. The bond with the spirit's intellectus that Bjorn has, enables him perfect knowledge of Vargen Wood and its denizens, and natural harmony with the creatures dwelling there while he is there on the land. This is not to say Bjorn rules this land, he has no desire to do so, instead he simply lives here, protecting this forest and land.
THE FANG
Vargen wood as discussed above is covered in dark foreboding woods, and mist covered meadows. But on its edge, on the cliffs overlooking the coastal fjord, Bjorn, with the help of the Dwarves from Kovlar, built his great long house "The Fang". This is a building with a stone foundation and the building itself made of wood so pure and pristine it almost glows with inner vibrance. Ulfen runes and knotwork carved into the columns and frame work. The grounds of the fang are a well maintained open glade, with anything Bjorn could need, superbly kept bee hives for honey, livestock for milk and eggs, and a crafting house replete with high quality dwarven made crafting equipment for smithing, carpentry, leather working and rune crafting. In the back of the house itself is a heavy wooden door, that leads out to a large deck overlooking the sea from atop the cliff. From this deck a set of stairs winds back and forth, down the side of the cliff to a pier of smooth worn wood, extending out into the sea. It is here that Bjorn blows the horn of Njǫrd to summon the Sea Wolf when sea travel is called for.
