I inquisitor Kane here by record the following in my efforts to protect and ensure the survival of the Empire in his Name.
Apon the completion of our purging of the Genesealer cult, as per Inquisitorial standard operations decree Alpha Seti 14.75, I and my companions were placed in isolated quarantine for observation to rule out any corruption. It was during this quarantine that a new form of corruption revealed itself. A newly appointed Inquisitor named Draxus Valman took advantage of this situation to incarcerate us well beyond standard protocol. Fortunately, not all in the organization were as corrupt, I was able to convince a guardsman named Atticus Rahl to work with me, he provided me with the key card to my cell and a data pad with the information to find the records of the rogue inquisitors' betrayal of the Imperium. These betrayals included illegal experiments he was conducting on Imperial psykers to develop serums to control them, which, along with his illegal weapons trade, he could then sell on the black market to line his own pockets with wealth to increase his fame and prestige. Once I located the incriminating evidence on Draxus, I then transmitted this to Inquisitor Lyra Sylas, and went to confront and excommunicate the heretical traitor.
Draxus revealed that his down fall was his pride and lust for power, jealous of my successes and wanting to supplant me as the local inquisitor on Archimedes IV. This would allow Draxus to to hide his illicit experiments and arms dealing with the black market. Unfortunately, Draxus was not the kind to surrender, and after rearming ourselves with our equipment from the storage room, I and my companions had to put him down, ending his threat.
