Distress Call
The USS San Diego received a distress signal from the Pakled vessel Glorious Acquisition, stranded within a dense asteroid field after suffering severe system failures. The San Diego entered the field to render assistance and determine what had disabled the ship.
Investigation
The boarding team discovered that the Pakled vessel was infested with tribbles altered by Borg technology. Their rapid reproduction threatened to spread assimilation throughout the ship and overwhelm any rescue effort.
Resolution
The crew isolated and contained the Borg-modified tribbles, stabilized the Glorious Acquisition, and rescued its surviving crew. The infestation was prevented from reaching the USS San Diego or another vessel.
