The half breed bastard son of a Human slave mother taken in a raid, and a Drow lord, Karanath stands 6 foot tall with dark grey skin and long white hair reaching the middle of his back. Growing up, Karanath was dispised by his father Lurhan as a half breed whelp good only for servent work and abuse. Lurhan refused to have Karanath trained in the family tradition of marshal warriors trained in the sorcerous arts of undeath known as Death Knights. None the less, he did have Karanath trained in the way of the sword, to be used as a disposable weapon against his rivals. Little did he know that this would come back to haunt him, as one day he would grow tired of the constant degredation and abuse and make good his escape from the underdark, but not before one telling blow to his hated father. Long and careful Karanath planned his escape, and when he did, he did so with his fathers most prized possessions, his 3 most powerful magic items, the sword Soulbane, The Liber Maleficus, and the Skull of Mordecai. These items are always at his side. Soulbane, a bastard sword of ever hungry power. The Liber Maleficus, a magical grimoire the Drow stole from the Celestial Realms eons ago, its pages detailing all known lore knowledge of all the known creatures in all the realms. The skull of Mordecai, a magic skull that contains the imprisoned soul of an acient ancestor, Mordecai, a powerful Liche that thanks to his imprisonment is now powerless except as a font of magical knowledge.
It is with these 3 items that Karanath now makes his living as a bounty hunter and monster slayer. Karanath wears dark grey almost black chain and plate armor, covered by a tattered black cloke with a voluminous hood that he almost always keeps pulled up to help him disguise his half drow heritage in order to pass in the above ground world of Humans easier.
