Virelya

Virelya

“The world does not speak… yet all who listen hear it.”

Overview

Virelya is a remote, Force-rich world located beyond the borders of known New Republic space. It serves as the hidden home of the Je’daii Order and the birthplace of their modern philosophy of harmony.

Discovered during the Great Departure of the former Jedi and Sith, Virelya is believed to be one of the most Force-attuned planets in the galaxy, rivaling even Tython in its connection to the Force.

To most of the galaxy, Virelya is unknown. To those who seek it… it rarely reveals itself.

Description

Virelya is not merely a planet… it is a living convergence of the Force.

The world exists in a state of natural harmony, where opposing environments and energies coexist:

  • Lush forests beside barren stone plains
  • Calm waters alongside violent storms
  • Regions of deep stillness near areas of intense energy

Travelers often report:

  • Shifting landscapes
  • Heightened emotional awareness
  • Visions or echoes of past and future

Some Je’daii believe the planet itself is **aware**.

The Nature of the Force on Virelya

On Virelya, the Force does not feel divided.

There is no distinction between light and dark. Only presence, intensity, and movement.

The Force manifests as:

  • Emotional amplification
  • Environmental response
  • Subtle guidance or resistance

A Je’daii on Virelya does not command the Force.

They **move with it**.

Major Regions

The Circle Basin

The central gathering place of the Je’daii.

  • A vast, open stone formation shaped in a circular pattern
  • Used for training, meditation, and rites
  • Location of the Rite of Harmony

---

The Shifting Wilds

A region where the terrain subtly changes over time.

  • Paths appear and vanish
  • Landforms shift slowly
  • Navigation requires connection to the Force

Used for advanced training and trials.

---

The Still Expanse

A vast, quiet desert-like region.

  • Minimal sound or movement
  • Strong presence of calm and reflection
  • Used for deep meditation and the Trial of Stillness

---

The Stormward Peaks

Mountain ranges where violent energy storms are common.

  • Lightning and atmospheric disturbances
  • Strong emotional and energetic amplification
  • Used for the Trial of Motion and endurance training

---

The Mirror Vale

A valley known for inducing visions.

  • Forces individuals to confront inner truths
  • Often used during the Trial of Reflection
  • Many Je’daii consider this the most difficult trial

---

The Je’daii Presence

The Je’daii do not build cities on Virelya.

Instead:

  • Structures are minimal and integrated into the environment
  • Temples are open-air or partially natural
  • Technology is used sparingly

The planet itself is considered the primary teacher.

---

Access and Secrecy

Virelya is deliberately hidden.

  • Navigation data is incomplete or altered
  • Hyperspace routes shift or become unstable near its location
  • Only Je’daii or those guided by them can reliably find it

Some believe the planet actively resists discovery.

---

Role in the Modern Era

By 300 ABY, Virelya is:

  • A sanctuary for the Je’daii
  • A place of training and reflection
  • A center of philosophical evolution

However, it is not isolated from the galaxy’s growing tensions.

Disturbances in the Force have begun to reach even Virelya… and the planet itself may be reacting.

---

Rumors and Legends

  • The planet chooses who may land upon it
  • Some who arrive uninvited are never seen again
  • Ancient structures predate the arrival of the Je’daii
  • The Force on Virelya can reveal truths… or break those unprepared

Quote

“You do not come to Virelya to learn the Force. You come to discover how little you understand it.”
